How to reach the beach

The beach is easily accessible from Malad West Railway station; it’s around a 12 km distance. You can take the BEST bus service (bus no. 271) or hire an Auto Rickshaw. You can also book a ride on Ola or Uber.

By Road:

  • From Mumbai City Center:
    • Aksa Beach is approximately 30 kilometers from the city center of Mumbai. Visitors can hire a taxi, take a private car, or use ride-sharing services to reach the beach.
    • Alternatively, one can use public buses that ply to Malad, and then hire a local mode of transport like auto-rickshaws or cabs to reach the beach.

By Train:

  • From Mumbai Railway Stations:
    • The nearest railway station to Aksa Beach is Malad Railway Station. From there, visitors can hire a taxi, auto-rickshaw, or use local buses to reach the beach.
    • Alternatively, if arriving by train on the Western Line, one can get down at Borivali Railway Station and follow the road to Aksa Beach.

Is Swimming allowed on the Beach?

The beach is not safe for swimming as the undercurrents are pretty strong.

There are warning signs for swimming prohibition, and lifeguards have been appointed for the safety of tourists. However, drowning accidents are expected as the tides keep changing rapidly, and people ignore the warning signs.

Quicksand in the water makes it even more dangerous to swim in seawater.
