Juhu Chowpatty Beach

Juhu Beach is one of the most famous and most visited beaches in Mumbai. It has a big shoreline and you will find people jogging on the beach during the early morning and evening.

Security is managed well here and you will see Mumbai Police patrolling the beach regularly. The best time of the day is evening time, as you will see the sunset, beautiful lighting, and various vendors offering food and articles for sale.

Juhu Beach is a favorite shoot location for the film industry. as it provides a beautiful ambiance for shooting. Children and tourists love this beach.

The beach has over 5 Km long seashore and is frequently visited by tourists.  The beach is generally crowded in the evenings and visitors usually come to this beach for fresh air and pleasure strolling.

 Tourists are advised, to enjoy the scenic view, fresh sea breeze, mouth watering street food, and pleasant walk on the beach. Swimming is not allowed on Juhu Beach, so do not venture into the sea as the water currents can be dangerous. There have been many incidents of drowning, so please be careful.

Food:

Several options are available for food lovers. These are mainly Mumbai dishes like Pani Pune, Chat masala, Bhelpuri, Ragda patties, Dahi puri, Faluda, Kala Khatta Gola,  Sarbat, the list is huge.

How to Reach:

This beach can be reached from Andheri, Vile Parle, Santa Cruz west railway station. From here you can take an Auto or local BEST bus to Juhu beach. I would suggest taking Auto from Vile Parle west railway station (3 Km).

Does Juhu Beach have a Parking facility?

Yes, there is a pay and park facility available just next to the beach. However, ensure there are no valuables kept in the car when you leave it.

Juhu Beach Timings and Entry Fee:

Juhu beach is open 24 hours a day, but you should leave the beach at 9 pm as it can become very dark and can become dangerous.  There is no entry fee for Juhu Beach.

Ragda Pattis and Bhel puri is a street food found in every part of Mumbai. But the ones available on Juhu Beach are special.
Mumbai is famous for Pani Puri which is also called Gol Gappa in North India. It’s a must-try if you have never eaten this before. It’s a mouth full of Flavour which simply explodes in your mouth.

  1. There used to be a vendor selling bhajiya. He used to make awesome Karela bhajiya. Can’t find the recipe for it.
